Habitat:
Black Reishi is native to East Asia and is commonly found growing on dead or dying hardwood trees, such as oak, maple, and elm. It prefers damp and humid environments, and is often found in the wild in forests and wooded areas.
Identification & Ecology:
Black Reishi can be easily identified by its shiny, black, and convex cap that can grow up to 15 centimeters in diameter. The stem of the mushroom is short, thick and white in color.
